Fewer, Better Emails in Your Company
I have a client who is a nut about improving the communication in his small company. This is something I appreciate!
He took me to task this week and berated me (sort of) for a) sending him too much email and b) not being specific enough in the Subject line.
This is sound advice, so I’m passing it along…
Try it for yourself: send fewer emails, keep them as concise as possible, make sure your Subject is crystal clear and cc: folks only when absolutely necessary. Request the same of your staff.
I guarantee this will cut back on the extraneous email traffic and improve the quality of the conversation in your company.
(For more on this, see ‘How Good is the Converstation in Your Company?‘).
